Company Profile
Dr. George Philteos has been the root of Dr. Philteos and Associates, Durham Pulmonary and Sleep Services and Dynamic Drug Advancement since 2004. Identifying a need in our community for access to new and experimental treatments for respiratory disease, Dr. Philteos launched Dynamic Drug Advancement with the hopes of giving access to clinical trials for patients in Durham Region, the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.

At Dynamic Drug Advancement our mission is to provide quality and breakthrough health care services to patients in need. Since 2004 we have engaged in over 50 clinical trials from Phase II to Phase IV.

Leveraging the expertise of Dr. Philteos, Dr. Chelvanthan and our experienced Study Staff our goal is to continue to expand our clinical trial offering and provide access to even more patients in need.

What is a Clinical Trial?
A clinical trial is a research study designed to assess the safety and/or efficacy of a new health intervention in humans. A clinical study may be assessing any kind of new health intervention, at Dynamic Drug Advancement our clinical trials focus on experimental drugs in any of our therapeutic areas.

The Phases of Clinical Trials:
- Phase I Clinical Trial: Is the intervention safe in healthy volunteers
- Phase II Clinical Trial: Is the intervention safe and effective in people with the condition under study and what is the most effective dose?
- Phase III Clinical Trial: Is the intervention effective in people with the condition under study?
- Phase IV Clinical Trial: These trials study the medication after it has been approved for market.
